Abington Art Center’s Annual Juried Show is on view now through January 24, 2009. Exhibiting over 70 works of art by local and regional artists. The Philadelphia Inquirer says, the Annual Juried Show “…is refreshingly different from most group shows… And quality abounds.”
This year’s juror was Virgil Marti, one of Philadelphia’s most nationally known artists. A graduate of Washington University (BFA, 1984) and the Tyler School of Art (MFA, 1990), Marti exhibits regularly with Elizabeth Dee Gallery, New York City, NY. He has had solo exhibitions at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, D.C.; The Design Center at Philadelphia University; Santa Monica Museum of Art; and Philadelphia’s Institute of Contemporary Art, among others.
Calfayan Construction Award for Creativity was given to: Karen Lefebvre-Christou of Melrose Park, PA

i am currently at chop with my daughter who is an inpatient… we had the privilege of seeing the artlings in person & were transfixed by them… art2love and chop are so perfect together! an appreciation for the creative child’s mind which brings their drawings into the 3d world… thank you for doing this project with these kids…
